Skip to Main Content Area. Click the Start Menu in the lower left corner of the Screen. Scroll down and click on Mouse. The Mouse Properties window will open. To change how fast the cursor moves in response to movement of the mouse, select the Pointer Options tab at the top of the Mouse Properties window. Under the Motion heading, drag the slider bar towards slow or fast until the desired speed is accomplished.
Scroll speed is a very personal thing. Even within our office people disagree with how many lines should move with each scrolling motion. Scrolling the mouse allows the user to navigate through text fields, documents, and web pages without using scroll bars. Through motions on the scroll wheel, the information on the screen will be scrolled in direct relation.
By adjusting the scroll speed, the user is adjusting the amount the screen moves for each movement of the scroll wheel. Increasing the scroll speed allows information to be moved more quickly across the screen.
Decreasing the scroll speed allows the screen to be moved in a slower, but more precise manner. In the Control Panel window, switch the view mode to Large icons. To boot to safe mode, restart the computer. On restart, keep tapping F8 key. You will get advance boot options. In that you can select safe mode. To work around, you can try performing a system restore:. Refer the below link to know how to perform a system restore:.
