I next ran a compiled exe which references this OCX. I went to the page containing the calendar control and clicked on it. Bam--it popped up 'msstdfmt. These instructions work if one opens CMD as administrator. Otherwise, one will get error 0xc. This worked perfectly! Thanks for the write up.
