WoW expects basic competence. FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism. Veteran healers don't care if they actually have to heal, but right now we don't. We simply want something interesting to do during the downtime. That is not asking for a lot. You realize people have done weird stuff like this since ARR right? I feel bad for the healers, most people give them too much of a hard time. The second I decide that I actually like being a healer, they become obsolete.
